UV water treatment removes 99.99% of bacteria, viruses and protozoan cyst (specifically Giardia Lamblia and Cryptosproridium) from your water supply. UV disinfection is a low cost, chemical free, energy efficient process that removes a broader range of water borne micro-organisms and pathogens than chlorine. UV disinfection is the most environmentally responsible method of disinfection with no harmful chemical by-products or adverse affect on water pH. The energy used by a UV disinfection system is comparable to a 40-watt bulb.
